Elections will be held at the Annual General Meeting of the Incorporation to be held on Saturday, 14 December 2019.
Shareholders are invited to make nominations for the election of FOUR Committee Members (CMs) to sit on the Committee of Management of the Incorporation (COM). As per the Taheke Constitution nominations must be received not less than three days before the AGM.
The CoM is responsible for ensuring that the Incorporation operates in accordance with its Objects and is empowered to make decisions accordingly. The Incorporation undertakes commercial activities. The CMs must collectively possess the necessary skills, experience and expertise to ensure the effective operation of the Incorporation. They must also meet the minimum requirements set out in section 272 of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993.
Nominees will be allowed up to five minutes to share information about their skills, experience and expertise and where they see Taheke in the next five years.
